About Karen

Karen is a landscape artist based in Medford, MA. Raised in Hong Kong, she moved to the United States in 2015. Karen currently works in construction relocation, while sharing her creative lifestyle with communities in Massachusetts. Growing up in Hong Kong, she learned that nature is everyone’s treasure and can’t be taken for granted. Visiting Maine in 2021 had allowed Karen to recognize her deep appreciation for nature, and led her to start practicing painting. Since then, she has traveled to parts of  Asia and Europe to find unique landscapes in order to expand her vision. Karen primarily works with acrylic, watercolor, and pen. 

I have been on a journey to find myself in the art world. The majority of my inspiration comes from nature around the world and teachings from the universe. My work usually features animals, landscapes, and plants. I aim to cultivate a friendly, calm, and vibrant environment for viewers to take space to reevaluate their relationship with the world and find happiness within themselves. My goal is to create pieces that can be utilized as a vehicle to explore viewers' body and mind.
